What It Is

Reinstatement, built for treated walls.

StopDamp+ Cement Mix is a special anti-salt additive for plastering walls after rising damp treatment. It's designed to resist salts and help prevent the damp patches that can otherwise return once a treated wall is replastered.

It's the final stage of the StopDamp+ system — reinstating the wall once the injection line has cured and BaseShield has been applied to the lower wall, using a render formulated to cope with the residual ground salts left behind by rising damp.

Mixing ratio: mix 1 unit of StopDamp+ Cement Mix with 1 bag (50kg) of Ordinary Portland Cement, then add clean water to a workable plastering consistency.

How It Fits the System

Stage 6 of the StopDamp+ sequence.

Cement Mix is used last, once the injection line has cured and BaseShield has been applied to the lower wall.

01

Hack Off, Drill & Inject

Damaged plaster is removed, holes are drilled, and Injection Cream establishes the damp-proof course.

02

BaseShield & Cure

The lower wall is shielded against lateral moisture, and the barrier is left to cure.

03

Replaster — you are here

The wall is reinstated with StopDamp+ Cement Mix, ready for final decoration.

1 unit of Cement Mix to 1 bag (50kg) of Ordinary Portland Cement.

Workable plaster consistency

Mixes to a standard plastering consistency with clean water.

3kg format

Sized for standard treatment runs, and included in the Complete Kit.

Coverage & Packaging

What's in the box, and how far it goes.

Each 3kg unit of Cement Mix is designed to be combined with a 50kg bag of Ordinary Portland Cement. The area this covers depends on plaster thickness and the size of the wall being reinstated — send us your wall dimensions for an estimate.

Add clean water gradually until the mix reaches a workable plastering consistency, following the approved StopDamp+ application guide.

FAQs

Common questions about Cement Mix.

What's the mixing ratio?

Mix 1 unit of StopDamp+ Cement Mix with 1 bag (50kg) of Ordinary Portland Cement, then add clean water to a workable plastering consistency.

When should this be used?

Cement Mix is the final stage — used after the injection line has cured and BaseShield has been applied to the lower wall.

Why not use ordinary plaster?

Ordinary render doesn't account for the residual salts a rising damp wall leaves behind, which is often why damp patches and paint failure return after standard replastering.

Can this be used without the rest of the StopDamp+ system?

It's designed as the reinstatement stage of the complete system. Using it alone won't address moisture still rising through an untreated wall.
