StopDamp+ Cement Mix is a specialised anti-salt additive for cement-based plastering and wall repairs following rising-damp treatment. It is designed to help new plaster resist salts and efflorescence, supporting a stronger, more durable wall finish and helping reduce recurring damp patches.
Treating the source of rising damp does not immediately remove the salts already present in the masonry. As a wall dries, these salts can migrate towards the surface and affect newly applied plaster.
StopDamp+ Cement Mix provides an added layer of protection during the replastering stage, helping the repaired surface better withstand salt-related problems.
StopDamp+ Cement Mix is designed to complement the wider treatment process:
1 unit StopDamp+ Cement Mix : 1 bag (50 kg) ordinary Portland cement.
Add clean water and mix to achieve a workable plaster consistency.
For best results, ensure the substrate is properly prepared and follow the recommended application procedure.
StopDamp+ Cement Mix is suitable for cement-based plastering and repair work on interior and exterior walls, particularly where walls have been affected by rising damp and salt contamination. It can be used as part of the restoration process after the underlying damp problem has been appropriately addressed.
Important: StopDamp+ Cement Mix is not a substitute for treating the source of rising damp. It is a plastering additive intended to help protect the repaired wall from salt-related problems. Proper diagnosis and treatment of the moisture source should come first.
