What Is StopDamp+ Injection Cream?

StopDamp+ is an injection cream formulated to treat rising damp in masonry walls. It's injected into a prepared line of holes near the base of the wall, where it forms a water-repellent barrier that helps stop moisture rising through the structure.

How It Works

StopDamp+ is applied directly into the wall through strategically positioned injection holes. The proprietary formula diffuses into the surrounding masonry, creating a water-repellent barrier that interrupts the upward movement of moisture.

Ground moisture → Wall → StopDamp+ barrier → Reduced upward moisture movement

Coverage & Quantity

The amount of StopDamp+ required depends on factors such as wall length, wall thickness, and hole spacing. Use the coverage calculator to work out the quantity needed for your project.

Five StopDamp+ Injection Cream cartridges, covering approximately 15 linear metres
5 cartridges (310ml each) cover approximately 15 linear metres of 115mm-thick sandcrete block — use the coverage calculator to confirm the quantity for your wall thickness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can StopDamp+ be used on sandcrete block walls?
Yes, where the wall and damp condition are suitable for injection treatment.

Does the wall need to be completely dry before treatment?
No. Rising-damp treatment is carried out on damp masonry. However, the wall should first be assessed to establish the source of moisture.

How long does the wall take to dry?
Drying time varies depending on wall thickness, moisture levels, ventilation, salts, and environmental conditions.

Can I install StopDamp+ myself?
Yes — it can be applied by a competent DIY user or a professional installer, provided the correct preparation, drilling pattern, and injection procedure are followed.
